INFO

iA combustible mixture of space rock and indie pop, San Francisco's Planets West channel what they love about music through an extensive array of guitars, effects pedals, and vintage keyboards. The result is a woozy balance between willful noise and a sense of tact, slow drones and guitar pop, and low-fi sounds colored with the occasional sci-fi flourish. The foursome shares songwriting, singing, and playing, keeping busy on stage by switching instruments in between and even during songs. These indie utility men live their credo: "There's no 'I' in band."

The Planets West are Brendan O'Brien, Mike Hendricks, Kevin McGonegal and Sean Donahue.
